Rubrik通过收购Strata与创新“身份前滚”技术推进身份韧性建设
Rubrik Enhances Identity Resilience with Acquisition of Strata and Innovative "Identity Roll Forward" Technology
In a bold move to address the escalating threat of identity-based security breaches, Rubrik, a leader in data security and AI-driven operations, has unveiled a comprehensive strategy to fortify its identity resilience solutions. At its recent Rubrik FORWARD conference, the company announced the acquisition of Strata.io, a leading identity orchestration provider, and the development of its groundbreaking "Identity Roll Forward" technology. These advancements aim to empower enterprises to navigate the growing risks of identity-related cyberattacks with unprecedented agility and security.
Identity has become a primary target for cyber adversaries, with 90% of IT and security leaders identifying identity-based attacks as their top concern, according to Rubrik Zero Labs. When an identity provider falls victim to a breach, organizations often face a daunting choice: either revert to a previous clean state and lose valuable business progress or remain compromised, allowing attackers to maintain persistent access. Rubrik has eliminated this dilemma by offering a solution that not only restores identity systems to a clean, secure state but also ensures uninterrupted service when primary identity providers encounter issues.

Rubik’s first vice president of product, Anneka Gupta, highlighted the significance of these advancements. "With our Identity Roll Forward technology, we empower enterprises to completely erase the attack surface by reverting to a clean state while preserving all legitimate changes," she explained. This capability, combined with the automatic failover to secondary identity providers during disruptions, ensures that critical applications remain operational even in the face of security incidents.
The Identity Continuity feature, derived from Rubik’s acquisition of Strata.io, further strengthens the company’s position in the identity resilience market. Strata.io specializes in identity orchestration, enabling seamless management of identity and access management infrastructure across multi-cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments without requiring organizations to rewrite their application codes. Eric Olden, Strata’s CEO and a co-founder, played a key role in developing the SAML identity standard, which is widely adopted by identity providers globally. By integrating Strata’s expertise, Rubik ensures that when a primary identity provider fails or is compromised, the system can automatically switch to a backup provider, maintaining uninterrupted access for essential applications.
Rubik’s Identity Roll Forward technology, developed entirely in-house, represents a pioneering innovation in the industry. This feature enables organizations to revert their identity systems to a clean state while preserving all legitimate changes, such as employee onboarding and offboarding data. This eliminates the need for manual, time-consuming processes that could take weeks to complete, significantly streamlining identity system management.
Rubik’s chief business officer, Mike Tornincasa, emphasized the strategic importance of these developments. "By combining Strata’s identity orchestration capabilities with our innovative Identity Roll Forward technology, Rubik is defining how organizations can achieve complete identity resilience," he said. While the exact terms of the Strata acquisition have not been disclosed, both Identity Continuity and Identity Roll Forward are currently available in private preview.
As cyber threats grow more sophisticated, Rubrik’s commitment to innovation and customer-centric solutions positions it as a leader in safeguarding digital assets. Through strategic acquisitions and cutting-edge technology, the company is setting a new standard for identity resilience, helping organizations protect their most valuable assets while maintaining operational continuity.
